Culture Masters and Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters (AACM) to Jointly Convene Global IAB Session

The 6th Session of the International Advisory Board (IAB) will be held online at 7 pm KST on November 7, 2025, jointly organized by Culture Masters and the Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters (AACM).

Within this governance framework, Culture Masters serves as the International Advisory and Directors’ Board, providing strategic direction and executive leadership, while AACM functions as the International Advisory Board, focusing on policy dialogue, membership engagement, and community-based collaboration.
Although the two bodies differ slightly in institutional character, they have been integrated for coordinated operation to maximize synergy and global impact. Together, they form the foundation of Culture Masters’ international network for heritage, innovation, and cooperation.

The meeting will bring together 17 board members and experts from 16 countries, with Ms. Saku Saruul of Mongolia participating as a special observer.

During this session, the Secretariat will deliver progress reports on key initiatives, including the integration of IP-WIN 2025 into WIN EXPO 2026, updates on Culture Masters’ global platforms such as ichmasters and CM+TV, and ongoing developments across international partnerships and cultural programs.

In the deliberation segment, the International Advisory Board will review and decide on major agenda items—most notably the designation of new Arirang Masters for the second half of 2025. Five exceptional practitioners from Iran, Barbados, India, and the Republic of Korea have been nominated for their outstanding contributions to living heritage, creativity, and education. The Board will also discuss strategic directions for the 2026–2028 World Intangible Heritage Network (WIN) roadmap, aimed at strengthening collaboration among cultural institutions and communities worldwide.

Concluding the session, the Chair and members are expected to reaffirm the shared vision of building a sustainable and inclusive future through living heritage, underscoring the joint leadership of Culture Masters and AACM in promoting innovation, peace, and cultural solidarity.

The 6th IAB Meeting represents a significant milestone in advancing the global mission of Culture Masters and AACM. As the two organizations continue to bridge heritage and innovation, this meeting is expected to strengthen the collective framework for WIN 2026 and beyond, furthering their shared commitment to designing the world through heritage.
