A new chapter in the advancement of the global intangible heritage community has begun.
The Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters, a newly established non-profit organization officially registered in Gyeonggi Province, has been launched to strengthen institutional support for traditional artists and cultural practitioners. Working in close partnership with Culture Masters, the global cultural enterprise renowned for its initiatives in intangible heritage, the Alliance will serve as a vital bridge between tradition, innovation, and international collaboration.

A Platform for Traditional Artists and Cultural Practitioners
The newly formed Advocacy Alliance aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for Korea’s traditional artists—those who safeguard and transmit the nation’s living cultural heritage. Its activities will focus on education, welfare, creative support, and international exchange, helping local practitioners gain greater recognition and opportunities in the global arena.

Through programs such as the Arirang Masters, WIN EXPO, and CM+TV, the Alliance will work hand in hand with Culture Masters to amplify the voices of heritage bearers and expand Korea’s cultural diplomacy across borders.

Strategic Branding and Joint Governance
The partnership between Culture Masters and the Advocacy Alliance represents a new model of joint governance in the cultural sector—combining the creativity and global reach of a private cultural enterprise with the public mission and advocacy role of a non-profit organization.

Under this framework, Culture Masters will lead international networking, digital content development, and global communications, while the Advocacy Alliance will focus on engagement, policy collaboration, and the empowerment of traditional artists.Under this framework, Culture Masters will lead international networking, digital content development, and global communications, while the Advocacy Alliance for Culture Masters (AACM) will focus on enhancing cooperation with both domestic and international practitioners and communities, promoting policy collaboration, and empowering traditional artists.

Together, they will pursue the shared vision of “From Tradition to Innovation”, positioning cultural heritage institutes as a catalyst for creative industries and sustainable development.

Public Purpose, Shared Leadership
The two entities will maintain their independent mandates while jointly operating a Steering Committee to ensure transparent governance and strategic coordination. This collaborative structure exemplifies a hybrid cultural model—a fusion of policy innovation, social responsibility, and creative entrepreneurship—designed to sustain intangible cultural heritage in the 21st century.

Toward a Global Cultural Ecosystem
Dr. SeongYong Park, President of Culture Masters, emphasized the alliance’s significance:
“This partnership is not merely administrative—it is a practical alliance for the future of cultural practitioners. By combining public ethics with creative enterprise, we aim to design a sustainable cultural ecosystem that empowers tradition in the age of technology.”

The Advocacy Alliance also stated its commitment to act as “a collaborative platform where traditional artists, communities, and the world meet,” pledging to pioneer new models of shared value creation in the field of living heritage.
